Marketing strategy and design to attract investors

Contributions: Branding, web design & development, advertising, brochure design and illustration.

Scope

The Amber Resort was looking for a designer who could create a brand, set the tone for the interior design and develop a marketing strategy to attract investors. The plan was to create a high-end brand. A one-page website to collect leads and a brochure to sell properties outside of the building design.

The trademark symbol is a combination of 3 elements: A + Amber Rock + Shape of Lombok, Indonesia.

The website enhances the brand and creates trust.

Challenge

Create a brand that impresses potential investors before there’s anything to see. Investing in Indonesia is risky. There are many scams, so investors are cautious. The resort is in a remote and unknown area. Creating hype for the area was an important part of the marketing effort. It was also important to show the comprehensive experience of the resort. An off-plan sale is always tricky. Many unforeseen problems can change the project dramatically. Therefore, I’d to develop a concept that could be adapted quickly.

Process

  • Create a recognisable brand that appeals to the target group.
  • Design the logo, slogan and variations.
  • Create a versatile colour palette that’s central to the brand language.
  • Create an easy-to-update brochure for the sales team.
  • Design advertisements and other creative elements for the marketing team.
  • Create a one-page website to get the message across to the target audience quickly and efficiently.

Results

The villas were all sold before the project was launched. The landing page helped attract thousands of leads and put customers through a smooth marketing funnel. The brand created much needed confidence among potential investors. The resort is now up and running and has become a hub in a remote area of Lombok, Indonesia.

Marketing and Branding for Burning Beach Festival

Burning Beach is a new festival in Lombok, Indonesia. I’ve been involved in the festival from the beginning as a DJ and designer. The founders wanted to take the festival to the next level and asked me to design a brand that would allow them to expand Burning Beach to a larger audience and venue, and attract world-renowned DJs. They also needed a website to handle all bookings, online payments and tickets. This is all integrated into a well thought-out marketing strategy.

Digital strategy for Mana, a yoga retreat

Mana Eco Retreat opened in 2017 and has grown steadily since then. The company needed a digital strategy that could adapt to its growing brand. A website was key. It was to become the centrepiece of all marketing activities for Mana. There were three main objectives: to increase the number of rooms and retreats sold through the website in order to reduce commissions, to increase the average daily rate and to increase the occupancy rate.
